If I could describe my favorable drink of choice except a smoothie that we all love, over the years, I’ve been addicted to special ice teas, a.k.a. Boba. What exactly is Boba? When someone asks me that question, I simply answer: “An Asian caffeinated drink which consists of a myriad of flavors, but I personally like passionfruit, get that.” Probably not the best answer in the world, but read on as I draw you in to my personally favorite drink.
Just a few years ago, I discovered a local cafe which drove me into the boba world, with various flavors to suit my liking. Of course, at that age, I would be acquainted with others who enjoyed the same flavors from that same place, so I continued that trend until this very day, and yet, I love the drink that much. For me, after the store went out of business, it moved to another nearby location – and within a year later, vanished yet again from town. I was ‘boba-less’ for 5 years past. What to do? For that time, I switched to Pinkberry, the beloved frozen yogurt franchise which triggered more to join the market, as my friend yet introduced me to another boba cafe locally. From then on, I knew I wasn’t going to leave that store…and I still don’t, as I walk in, they know me, my name, my order exactly, and before I pay, it’s ready. Oliver Verified at its finest.
As time progressed, I became boba-hooked and continue to discover the worthy boba locations that are new to try. Everything matters – the boba pearls themselves, the drink’s flavoring, how the company designs the cup, the straw, the everything. However, over time, it seems that most companies out there have the same style of branding their cups and drinks, with their branded cup as well as a plastic which is heated onto the cup’s top, which results in very fashionably punching the straw with ease into the cup. And when the cafe’s machine is malfunctioning, they give you a simple top instead, which isn’t too cool. But we can’t be choosers, it’s the drink that matters!
Well, I am here to not only possess my enthusiasm for the drink’s existence, but introduce you to my default and favorite source where you can purchase the drinks for yourself. Bobaloca Tea & Coffee, the ideal place with several locations where you can get your ideal tea, ice coffee, smoothie, slush, or milk tea of bliss. I can proudly say that the guys over at each location currently will take care of you in any given situation, really, really, great people. Just over a year of my commute to their locations, their service, quality, and people are very good. Their drinks are made in front of you, with their custom branded cups and top, which, of course gives you the pleasure of poking the straw into it as well :). If you’re into milk teas, they are the place to go. Their tapioca is made fresh throughout the day, and even when they run out, I am willing to stick around for a bit for the extra freshness. Anyhow, I can gladly recommend them to any boba fan, I encourage you to visit them at their various location and give them a good try, let them know I sent ya!
